SUBJECT:CONFIRMATION OF JOSEPH BELLOMO TO THE
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED
TERM ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2002
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council designate Joseph Bellomo to fill the unexpired term of the
Architectural Review Board ending September 30, 2002, which was left vacant by the death
of Francisco Alfonso.
DISCUSSION
At the City Council meeting on October 10, 2000 the Council appointed four members to fill
vacancies on the Architectural Review Board. Of the four appointments, two members were
reappointments and two were new appointments. One of the appointments is required to fill
a vacancy for the remaining term of two years until September 30, 2002.
It is necessary for the Council to specifically designate which of the appointed members
would fill the remaining two year vacant term. Mr. Joseph Bellomo has requested that his
appointment be designated to fill the two year vacancy.
RESOURCE IMPACT
There is no resource impact from this decision.
POLICY IMPLICATIONS
This recommendation does not represent any change to existing City policies.
TIMELINE
Confirmation at this time will permit all members of the Architectural Review Board to
attend the next ARB meeting on October 19, 2000.
