DEPARTMENT:HUMAN RESOURCES CMR: 446:01 OF RESOLUTION FOR HOURLY TO ADD RECOMMENDATION This report recommends Council approval of the attached resolution amending the Compensation Plan for Hourly Employees, to add two classifications inadvertently omitted from the Hourly Salary Schedule, effective for the pay periods including July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002. DISCUSSION Council approved a resolution amending the Compensation Plan for Hourly Employees on October 15, 2001. The resolution allowed for the salary ranges of 35 hourly classifications to be increased by 5 percent, effective with the pay period including July 1, 2001 in order to maintain salary ranges at a competitive level. The classifications of Management Specialist and Project Manager were included in the compensation plan but were inadvertently omitted from the corresponding Hourly Salary Schedule. This action will correct the omission by adding the classifications tO the Hourly Salary Schedule. RESOURCE IMPACT This action does not represent any change to City resources. POLICY IMPLICATIONS This recommendation does not represent any change to existing City policies. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW This is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO .AMENDING COMPENSATION PLAN FOR HOURLY PERSONNEL ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO.8097 BY AMENDING SALARY SCHEDULE TO ADD TWO CLASSIFICATIONS PREVIOUSLY OMITTED The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows : SECTION i. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Compensation Plan for Hourly Personne!, adopted by Resolution No. 8097, is hereby amended by amending the salary schedule to add two classifications previously omitted, as set forth in Exhibit "A" (Salary Schedule), attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2.
