Approval of the Appointment of Council Member Kniss as the
Alternate to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA)
Group 2 Cities Working Group
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends the appointment of Council Member Kniss to the position of VTA alternate
for 2020, representing the Group 2 Cities Working Group (North County Cities Group).
Background
Last year Mayor Fine was nominated by the Group 2 Cities Working Group and appointed by
the Council for a 2-year term covering 2019-2020. The Group 2 Cities Working Group has
nominated Council Member Kniss to complete the second year of the term that Mayor Fine
held.
