Request for Authorization to Increase Existing Contract with the Law
Firm of Rankin Landsness Lahde Serverian & Stock by an Additional
$80,000 For a Total Contract Not to Exceed Amount of $165,000 for
Legal Services Related to Tort Litigation Matters
The City Attorney's Office requests authorization to increase and amend the existing
contract with the law firm of Rankin, Landsness. Lahde, Serverian & Stock, Attorneys at Law,
by an additional $80,000 for legal services relating to defense of the City in tort litigation
matters.
Rankin Landsness has represented the City in various tort litigation matters since 2006.
The current contract with Rankin Landsness covers tort litigation defense for the period
September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013. This amendment brings the total contract not to
exceed amount to $165,000 for services through August 31, 2013.
Funding for this contract does not require additional budgetary authority as it can be
accommodated within the Office of the City Attorney’s budgets for FY 2013 and FY2014.
