PALO ALTO SOFA PARK STREETSCAPE CONSULTANT SCOPE
OF SERVICES

Staff recommends that the Policy and Services Committee review and approve the
attached scope of services for architectural work to be performed in coordinating South
of Forest Avenue (SOFA) neighborhood streetscape design issues.
DISCUSSION
On July 17, 2001 the Policy and Services Committee reviewed the list of consultant
services over $65,000 for fiscal year 2001.02. The Committee selected this consultant
agreement for review of the draft scope of services. SOFA surrounds a planned two-acre
park site. Staff and public comments have made it dear that any use or structures
proposed for the neighborhood must fit gracefully into the established context.
Community Services and Planning staff are recommending the use of a landscape
architectural firm to assist the community and staff with streetseape mitigation measures
as SOFA developmem continues over the next year.
RESOURCE IMPACT
This project is funded through CIP 10218 - Palo Alto South of Forest Avenue (SOFA)
Park.
