Background and Discussion
As required by the Charter, The City Manager Proposed Operating and Capital Budgets for FY
2017 will be presented to Council on April 25, 2016. The documents are still in production and
will be presented to Council on April 25, 2016. At that time, staff will also take time to provide
an overview of the budget document during this meeting.
Between May 03, 2016 and May 23, 2016, the Finance Committee is scheduled to review the FY
2017 Proposed Operating and Capital Budgets and provide a recommendation to the City
Council for adopting the budgets. The transmittal letters in both budgets will provide a succinct
overview of the General Fund, Enterprise Funds, Internal Service Funds, and the Capital Fund
budgets.
Public hearing for the FY 2017 budget is scheduled for June 13, 2016 to allow for the public to
provide comments and input to the City Council. The City Council is scheduled to adopt the
Fiscal Year 2017 Budget on June 13, 2016 as well.
