Request for Authorization to Increase the Legal Services Agreement
with Moscone Emblidge Sater & Otis (formerly Otis & Iriki) by an
Additional $150,000 for an Amount not to Exceed $235,000 for Legal
Services Related to Public Works Construction Matters
Dear Members of the Council:
The City Attorney's Office requests authorization to increase and amend the existing
contract with the law firm of Moscone Emblidge Sater & Otis (formerly Otis & Iriki), Attorneys
at Law, by an additional $150,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $235,000 for legal and
professional services relating to the Mitchell Park Library and Community Center.
This amendment includes construction litigation as well as expert witness services.
Funding for this contract does not require additional budgetary authority as it is a
proper expense against the Library bond funds.
