DISCUSSION Staff has committed to providing the Council with a quarterly report on the status of the Council’s Top 5 Priorities. In response to Council input, the format of the Top 5 Workplan has been revised. The new format is intended to provide Council and the public with a clearer picture of the milestones, accomplishments, and completion dates. The prior format was a bullet point narrative report that detailed work accomplishments within relevant milestones. The report was a stand-alone document that required the reader to cross-reference between the report and the established 2002-03 Top 5 Workplan. The Top 5 Workplan included milestones, estimated completion dates and lead department information. The revised format lists the milestones, estimated completion date, and year-to-date accomplishments in one document. Each milestone is individually numbered. If a revision is made to an estimated completion date, the old date will be lined out and the new date will be inserted .below. An explanation for the change will be provided in the accomplishments section. From this date forward, the information provided in the accomplishments section will be cumulative, and identified by quarter. This is intended to give the reader a more comprehensive picture of the work accomplished on the Top 5 Priorities.
