SUBJECT:CANCELLATION OF NOVEMBER 1 CITY COUNCIL MEETING
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council cancel the regular m~eeting November 1, 2004
and .the Finance Committee meeting November 2, 2004.
BACKGROUND
In prior years, the City Council has cancelled its regularly scheduled meeting the night
before and the night of a State and or Federal election.
DISCUSSION
Staff recommends that the regularly scheduled November 1, 2004 Council meeting and
the November 2, 2004 regularly scheduled Finance Committee meeting be cancelled.
The month of November has 5 Mondays, so the final Monday in November will continue
unscheduled .for a Council meeting.
RESOURCE IMPACT
The staff recommendation does not have any resource impact.
POLICY IMPLICATIONS
This recommendation is consistent with previous Council practice.
