FOLLOW-UP ON THE EL CAMINO PARK PROPERTY ACQUISITION
COSTS AND ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FOR THE EMERGENCY
WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
This is an informational report and no Council action is required.
BACKGROUND
At the March 5, 2007 Council meeting, staff was asked how the City’s portion of the property
rights payment for E1 Camino Park would be processed. Staff has not yet completed its analysis,
in part because a final appraisal was not available in a timely manner. Additionally, the City
Attorney’s Office has requested more time to complete its analysis of a legally acceptable
allocation of the funds. Staff will return to Council on May 21 with a list of potential fund
allocation options for Council review and input. Staff has also continued the second reading of
all five Park Improvement Ordinances associated with the Emergency Water Supply and Storage
Project until the May 21 meeting. ~
