Adjourned Meeting. City ^-_.µl Palo Alto, v , Ay 1, 19 20. Roll call as follows: Present: Bertsche, Blair, Cooley, Eati Ve rday, Jordan. Thoits, Thomas. Absent: Cathcart, Peterson, Roller, Snyder, Swain, Tewwilli ,e'r, Wing. The minutes of the meeting of June 28, 1920, were ;.•ead and approved as read. Ballot on Election of Mayor: The chairman announced that the election of a Mayor for the fiscal year 1920.1921 was in order, the voting to.be by se- cret ballot. Bertsche and Cooley were named as tellers. The result of the balloting was as follows: First Ballot: Thoits, 3; Cathcart, 3; Miller, 2. Mir: Miller asked that his .:lie be not considered, as he could not serve. Mr. Thoits made the same request. Second Ballot: Thoits, 5; Cathcart, 2; Miller, 1. On motion of Jordan and Cooley the balloting for Mayor was laid over temporarily. .�2oin4ment of City Hall : ioyees.. The chair declared ap oin t= nt of City Employees in order, and the following were reappointed by unanimous vote in each case, and so declared by the Mayor: City Clerk and Assessor: Frank Kasson .
