Adjourned Meeting. City Hall, Palo Alto, Cal.,
June 28. 1920.
The Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date
at 8 p.m., pursuant to adjournment of June 14, 1920, with Mayor
Thoits presiding. Roll call as follows:
Present: Bertsche, Blair, Cathcart, Cooley, Easterday, Jordan,
Miller, Roller, Snyder, Swain, Te:-•wi1 ige r, Thoits,
Absent: Peterson, Thomas, Wing.
The minutes of the meeting of June 14, 1920, were read
and approved as read.
Offer of Land for Park.
A communication was received fro7 Alfred Seale and
Mabel S. Laumeister offering; to donate to tr_e city for a park
Block 27, South Palo Alto.
On motion of Jordan and Cooley action was deferred
pending the filing; of a petition by residents near `.,',air? bloc
in relation to said offer.

A report was received. from Committee tf2 recommending
the enactment of an ordinance profid nL reE. .a.,1Ons for the muni-
cipal swimming, pool.
RejaorV of Committes_24. Seale Waterworks.
Committee #4, reported that an agreement had been reach-
ed with Seale and 3 aum.eiste r for the purchase of the Seale Water-
works as recommended by the.Board of Public Works. Said agree-
ment provides for the payment during a period of five years,wit-
interest at 6%, on deferred payments.
Cn'rnotion of Jordan and Easterday the report wasadopt-
ed and. the C. .y Attorney was instructed to draft a contract for
submission to the parties in interest.

An ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Prescribing Certain

and Cooley was passed by unanimous vote on roll call.

To Close Books for Fiscal Ve r.
On motion, Committee #5 and the �.uditor were author-
ized to make the necessary transfers of funds to close the books
for the fiscal year 1919-1920.
Leave of Absence: Peterson.
On motion of Cooley and Bertsche Councilman Peterson
was granted four months leave of absence. ,
Referred to Budget Committee.,
A request of Cooley for fourteen lights along the front
b�oa the Community Center house was on motion referred to Committee
