The Council of the City of Palo Alto uxe., on this date
at 7:30 p.m., pursuant to the call of Acting Lay or
Roll call was as follows:
Present: Bertsche, Cathcart, Cooley, Easterday, Jordan, Roller,
Snyder, Swain
Absent: Blair, Miller, Peterson, Terwilliger. Tho .ts, Thoe:.as,
Wing.
Resolution. (Per:rtt to Furnish Gas) : Passed
Mr. Swain, acting chairman, stated that the meeting had
been called to consider granting a permit to the Pacific Gas and
Electric Company to furnish gas to the old Stanford hone, now the
Stanford Convalescent Home for Children. he further stated that
the City Engineer had reported that the cost to the city to extend
its main would be $1700.-00, an expenditure not deemed advisable
by the Board of Public -Works, which Board recommends that the per-
lui t be granted.
A resolution, entitled "Resolution of the Council of the
City of Palo Alto Granting a Permit for Furnishing Gas4? was intro-
duced and read, and on motion of Cooley, seconded by Cathcart, was
passed by unanimous vo i,e on roil call.
Cn motion of Cooley and Roller the Council adjourned.
