The Council of :'.the. City of Palo Alto .met on this date at
7:30 p.m. , pFursuant to adjournment , of :ovember 14, 1921, with Mayor
Cathcart, presiding‹:_ Roll call as fo1lowe:

it being the special order of the day to canvass the re-
turns. of .the election; held: or November 15, 1921, , to vote on the is-
suance of bonds in the sum.of ?,,-40,000 for an additional library
;wilding, the,'Mayor declared such canvass in order and appointed

On motion of Corbet, seconded by Jordan, a: resolution,
entitled: "Resolution Declaring the Result of the Election Held in
the ` City :of Palo Alta County of Santa Clara, State of. California,
on November 15, 1921, upon the Question of Incurring a Bondedin-
debtedness of Said City' for the Object and Purpose Hereinafter emze-
erated-,:4' was introduced and read and passed by unanimous vote on
roll .:call.

Onnotion of Corbet, seconded by Thoits, an ordinance en -
'titled "An Ordinance Providing .for the Incurring, of a Bonded Ind.e:-t-
edress for the City of Palo Alto, in the county of Santa .Clara,
State of California,' 'in the Sum of Forty Thousand Dollars, in Gold
Coin. `of . the United States of America, to Pay the Coat of Certain
