The minutes : of the meetings of January 10, 17 and 19t::,
and of February 3, 1.921, were read and approved as read.
Vacation s for Co nitj Touse Director.
A corateenication was read f°roni Lr3. osephine IuveneGiza
chairs ofthe Coinzanjty Center Commission, asking that Miss Alice
Diaz, director Of the Co lenity House, be: given a :vacation.. during
the' isonth oy :June and two weeks of July, under pay, said vacation
to cover two: year'. s .eer'i ce` to November 1, 1921 and overtime.

This being the time fixed. for hearin,e protests against
street improvements proposed ' under Resolution ;af Intention, Series
2, 1921, the . yor. ;announced that the hearing was in order.
John F, :Selb►y; filed a written protest to any assessment
on his lot in `lock (5, on Forest Avenue, on account of paving,
constructing cur oe,• igutters and sidewalks on Homer Avenue. Mr.
Selby, ozi invitation of the Mayor, addressed the Council, explain-
ing the nature, ob)ect and purpose of his -protest.;
After due :consideration, Councilman rb.oitsmoved that
e .protest of filar=.: s$4lby be overruled and denied. The motion was
seconded by Councilman .:Snyder and on roll call was carried unani-

A resolution, ° entitled, "Resolution Ordering the Work.
Series 1,- 1920,* was introduced and read.
On motion of Thoits, seconded. by Jordan, said resolution
was passed by unanimous vote on roll call.

A report was received from Committee #2 and time Board of Pub-
lic Safety in the matter _ :of the petition to have the Council re-
gulate moving Picture exhibits. The ; report recommended the en-
actment of .a resolution: submitted therewith,: creating an Advis-
ory Board on Ccwmercial Amusement.<
