=Street, asking that proceedings be taken to widen said Avenue

A report was received from Committee #4 recommending

to the City. of" Palo 'Alto.by Mrs, Gila S. Idxon, ,be sold for

as .security for the payment thereof.
Resolution-,.. Sale of .Dixon Proper.t : Passed.
A resolution,. entitled "Resolution of the -Council of the
City of Palo. Alto relating to the sale of: Property in San Francisco,
deeded by Emily S. Dixon to' the City of Palo Alto", was introduced
and read.
On motion of Jordan and Mendenhall the resolution was
' adopted by unanimous vote on roll call.

Easterday and lobarL moved that the recommendation be
approved. and that said exchange of property on even terms be
authorized and " that the attorney be :instructed to prepare the

The city: Clerk reportedthat conflicting deeds had
been recordedfor : the property now owned by C P.. :7'eima, in
Block 46.
On motion of Berteche, aid Roller the Mayor end City
Clerk were authorized to sign deeds, to correct the title to the
said property..

The '.7ayor announced that it was in order to oppoint a
member of the Board of Public. Safety for the 'unexpired tern of
J. E. Sloan resisxned, . and appointed Snyder and Easterday tellers.
The appointment was by ' ballot and on the 13th ballot:
J. M. Blackburn received the necessary 8 votes ,to, elect. The
>ayor declared :ir. Blackburn duly elected. Others who received
votes were R. M. Roberts, Dcugias Watson, 111, Clay Miller and.

The Mayor announced that it was in order to elect a
member pro tem of the Board of.>• Public Safety to serve during the
absence of Commitsioner ,Fish,. 'On, the 25th ballot, R. Roberts
received the required 8 votes ,necessary to elect and the Mayorceclared Mr. Roberts duly elected.
