As to AlleY 121 Block 21.
The question of opening an alley in Block 21 was
taken up and: considered. On motion Basterday and Jordan the
following resolution: was adoptedby unanimous vote on roll call.
That . the j*blid interest, necessity and welfare and
demand') ..the opening np and connection of an alley. in Block 21
of: said City.... That a strip of land fifteen to twenty feet in
width and connecting :,the emitting or proposed alley In sa,:id.
Block is to be acittrirod by the City for this purpose along the
rear on- side lined g property in said block of the following
property owners, .:to wit:. :Ire. Ellen H. Fairall, Y. V. Harrier,
Nellie 14 Gardner, Lt B. Peterson and C. » Decker.
The matter of securing rights of way :and laying out
the exact lines of the .proposed alley is referred to Committee
#1 of the, Council.. No building permits are to be issued that
will conflict with the opening up of said alley.
Attorney_ Malcolm read a letter from the lessee of the
property; in San Francisco, donated to Palo Alto by Mrs. E. 8.
Dixon ,offering to purchase said property. On motion of
Mendenhall. and .Wing the matter was referred to Committee #4 and
