Be rt` `off 3oard of u ilic' Safety. The Mayor "stated that the meeting was called to hear,,a report from the Board ofPublic Safety. The report from �1. A was as follows: "Your Board of Public Safety at a ` meeting held at on this date passed the following motions: wit the action of the .;Board taken at a meeting held on. June 14, 194. accepting= the. resignation of, CK . Noble as Chief of -Police to take effect on July 1, 1924. be rescinded. at C. Y. Noble be :discharged immediately as Chief of Police for insubordination and his recent attitude toward the officials of the City of Palo Alto; that his .salary; as Chief of Police be discontinued from this date; and that' be be instructed to turn over to his successor alle records, moneys and property belonging to ; the City of Palo Alto. That : Howard A. :Zink be and be is hereby appointed Acting Chief of Police of the city:. of Palo Alto; that hie appointment take . of felt immediately; and : that he . receive the salary provided for the office of Chief of Police."
