Me Council of the City of Pao Alto met on this date; at 8 p. m., pursuant to adjournment of Asst 17, 1925, with 'or Jordan presiding. Roll call as follows, Present: Absent Bertsche, Bonn, Thxreneck, Easterday, i'obar e31y, L a seen , Molts, Thomas, Wing. Cathcart, Cooley, Cottrell, Wi11 isms, Concerning Peninsular Railwa Mr. Chapin, Manager of the Peninsular Railway Company, was present and addressed the Council in regard. to the proposed car "barn which the Peninsular Railway Company- .needs for. its .cars Berequested that, as the Planning Commission is opposed. to the erection of a car barn near. the Southern Pacific Depot, the 2eninsuiar Re.ilway Company be allowed to run a single track across the railroad tracks to Emerson Street and down Tfierson. Budget for 1925-1926 The proposed budget for 1925-1926 was presented and explained by Mr. Wirg, Chairman of Committee .No. 4, the budget being based on a tax levy of '$1.40 per X100 on the as,,esze'l valuation of $8,837,105.00. A letter was read from the Chamber of Commerce referring to its previous r egae s t that an appropriation of ,1000 be made to, help defray the cost of necessary public ity.
