The Council of the City of Palo Altomet on this
date at 8 p. m., pursuant to adrjo.zrnme nt of June 29, 1925, with
Mayor pro tem Jordan presin.i.ng.
The Mayor announced that the members elect had taxen
the oath of office as follows: Tho .ts, Hobart, Bonn, Irs.
Thomas and W. H. e1;1y.
On roll call the following were present: Bertsche,
rx eneck, Easterday, Jordan, Lausten, 3onn, 2hoits, Williams,
Ze11y, ,Thomas . Absent: Cathcart, Cooley, Cottrell, Hobart, {

The Council proceeded to the election of a mayor.
Four ballots were taken, Jordan, Wing, :�.o'bart and Tho .ts oeing
voted one Mayor pro tem Jordan announced that he was not a
candidate and requested that he be not voted on. On tae foerte
ballot Jordan received 8 votes and Wing 2 votes, and Jordan was
declared elected mayor.

The Council then proceeded to tae appointment of

The Mayor announced that the election of members to
`;Board:s and Commission's and also the appointment of members. of
committees would go over until the next meeting of the' Councii.

The: Council of the City of Palo Alto on July 2,
1925, after.receiving the returns of the election officers of the
special election held on said date for the consolidation of the
fov'n of Mayfield with the City of Palo Alto, duly ;proceeded to
canvass said .returns and declared the result to be as follows:.
Y' -'''at the total number of votes given and cast at said election
was 1531; that of said:. total number of votes, 1090 voters voted
'Yes' and ;for said consolidation; that 441 voters voted !iOT and
gainst said consolidation , that a majority of all given

To Audit; Books of Mayfield
By notion of Thoits and Bertsche and by unanimous
vote on roll call, theCo nali directed that the matter of secure.:
a proper audit of the books of Mayfield be placed in the hands
of Committee No. 5.

directed by unanimous vote on roll call that the City Clerk and
assessor secure the necessary assistance for work to be done in
obtaining assessed values of property in Mayfield..
