The Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date at 8 p. m., pursuant to adjournment of May 25, 192b, with MayorCottrell presiding. Roll call as follows: Present: Absent; Bertscbe, Blair, Cathcart, Cottrell, Eaaterday, Jordtue, leaazsten, Mendenhall, Bonn, Molts, Wing.. Cooley, Daveneck, Hobart, Williams. E Helm and others to,phangethe residential district between Alma and Emerson Streets' -and Addison: and Seale Avenues to industrial 'district ::be , denied. On motion of Jordan and Mendenhall the rec ommendati ozi' wad: , approved. :ports Committee Hc. 1 A report was received from Committee. No. 1 on the proposed alley in thesouthwesterly half of Block 6. The committee recommended that the Engineer redraw this plan and send a copy to each property owner for criticism and. suggestion. On motion of Cathcart and Bertsche this report was accepted. A report was also received from Committee No. 1 concerning the alleys in Blocks 13 and 21 and recommending a readjustment of the assessments of the Commissioners. On motion of Jordan and Laasten it was directed that the matter remain in the hands of ,.the Committee until the regular meeting on June 8th. Committee No. 1 recommended the adoption of the report of the commissioners on the widening of Pmbarcadero Road. On motion of Wing and Bertsche, a resolution was passed adopting the report.
