Letter from Library Board. A letter from the Library Boards recommending purchase of 12•. feet on Hamilton Avenue adjoining the library e building at a cost of 42580.00 was read. By motion of 2'hoite and Duvenecc, it was directed by unanimous vote on .zli call, that an appropriation be made to the Library Board of $2580.00 for the purpose of buying 12 feet on Hamilton Avenue, the money to be taken from the tills unappropriated balance of the Genera/ Fund. By motion of Thoits and Lausten the matter of an alley in . Block 29 ' was referred to the Board of Public 'corks and City Engineer for 'investigation. On motion of Cooley and Thoits the recommendation of -Committee' :1 c. 1 that no more alleys be put through Block 21 was approved. On ;motion of Cooley and Lausten, it was directed that action on the alleys leading from Lytton Avenue to alleys. parallel with University Avenue in Blocks 20 and 30 be rescinded, and that a new , resolution be drawn up for alleys in Blocks 20 and 3©. On motion of Cooley and Lausten it was directed that the width of University Avenue be made uniform as far as Middlefield Road., a. . On motion of Gooley and Bertache it was directed that the gas main on University Avenue be replaced by 4 -inch pipe from Alma Street to WIdelefield Road, the cost to be provided for in the 1925-26 budget. On motion 'of Bertache and Cooley it was directed that the additional street paving recommended by the Board of 2ublic Works be: done, the difference in the width of Alma Street to be provided :ror ` in next year's budget.
