M., pursuant to adjournment of April 11, 1927, with Mayor Hobart presiding. Roll, call as follows: Present: Bertsche, Bonn, Cathcart, Cottrell, Duveneck, B-aeterd.ay, Hobart, Jordan, Kelly, Lausten, T.hoits, Thomas, Wing, Wood. Absent: Cooley. Bids for' Storm Sewers It JJa's announced that this waz the time for receiving and opening bids for --the cons tr c tion of storm water sewers on '.:averley Street. J. Tobin. Oakland On motion of Wing and Kelly, the bids were referred to the Board of Works and City Engineer for tabulation and report. Hearings. on Change of Zone and Setback Line It was stated that this was the vine' set for a hearing on the recur endation of the City Planning Commission for a change, -of setback aline on the property of G. -F„ Schubert on Hawthorne venue in ;Block 45, and for a chan ge of zone on the property of'Pauline Schulte on Waver:Ley Street in Block 21. No protests were received. M. in the City Hall.. .A recommendation was received from the Planning Commission that -the zoning ordinance be -printed separately, and -riot as a sup:S1ement to the Building and Plumbing Codes. On -motion of Wing and. Kelly, this recommendation was approved, the necessary amount to be taken fr•orr the• continent fund by unanim- ous vote on roll call.. A recommendation was received from the Planning 'o Mission' that , the request of Mrs Eartsog on the :la ter' of closing certain alleys In the Bartley. Tract be apti.'o ved and recommending that thee alleys, be closed. This matter was deferred until the next regular .meeting. After some discussion, on motion of Jordan and Cathcart, the ordinance was referred back to the City Attorney. Concern Recodiijcation Mr. Leon T. David made a verbal report on the recodif ication of the city 'ordinances. Proofs of certain sections of the ordinances were given to the Council members for their consideration.
