It was announced that one of the special orders of
the day was the informal hearing on the matter of widening
University Avenue between Cowper Street, and 2> iC�c: t,'i' p�Cti Road,
and widening Hamilton Avenue between

as ^ recommended by the Plan Ting Commission. The Council decided

the recommendation of the City Planning Commission. This

park site by the assessment district plan. "r. Pedro J. L,-smos,
F. M. hatson and others spoke ar ainst the acquisition of this
land by this method.
This euestion was discussed at length, and on
motion of l rs . ThomaS land Thoits , the matter of acquiring this
land by an assessment district was referred to the Board of Works
and City Attorney to report back at the next meetin, .
Letter from G. F. Schubert
A letter from C. F. Schubert cor cerning: the setback
line on his property• on Hawthorne Avenue between Byron Street and
Middlefield .Road was read and referred to the City Planning
Commission.

David concerning . the r ecodifica tion of the city ordinances.
The City Clerk was directed to call a meeting of the chairmen of
the various committees for the purpose of considering certain
sectionsyy/ of the ordinance which have not yet receiveydy, the

that part of Mr. David's report concerning the nreparai; :on and
publication of supnlements referred
the Building { and Plumbing Codesand
the Zoning Ordinance was refer red to Committee No. 4. and the,
Office Manager and Purchasing Agent wore re juested to furnish.

Resolution No. 532, approving the specifications
for the widening of this portion of eaverley Street, was read.
Lausten and Bertsche moved to adopt the resolution, which
