call as follows;

Absent: Cathcart, Cottrell, Jordan, Thomas
It was re_oorted that copies of the minutes of themeeting of .August 29, 1928 had been sent to each council member,
and on notion the minutes .of said meeting were saeroved.
Bids on PAVIng Ne r.e l l Road
It was.:annonced that this was the time for the
opening of bids for the improvement of the westerly one -calf of
Newell Road, under Resolution of Intention No. 681. Bids were
opened, read .and .,_publicly declared fnem the Peninsula Paving
Company, Hanrah'an Company and N. M. Sall. On motion of .,00d and
Thoits, these bids were referred to '. he City 2reFineer for
tabulation and report.
The City Engineer thenrecommended to the Council'.
that the contract be awarded to the lowest bidder, N, ",'.. 3811,
at his bid of $20,756.18. P,esolution No. 690, awardinp the
contract for this work to N. M. Ball, was read, and on motion of
Wood and Thoits, was adopted by unanimous vote on Yoli call.
Bids on improvement of Streets ;_ Tract
This was also the time for receiving bids for the
improvement of Third Street, 'a.: c Sri e Avenue, :.'atadero Aven,,e
and Wilton Avenue, under Resolution ofinterLtion No. 683. Bids
on this work were opened, read and publicly declared from tee
Peninsula Paving Company, Rsnrahar Company and N. u . Ball. C n
motion of Wood and Thoits, these bids .%ez : referred to the City
Ingineex for tabulation and report.
Later, the City Engineer re ;oenended to the Council
that the contract for this work be ewarded, to the lowest oidd.er,
he PeninsulaPaving Company, at Its bid of '4' ,578.21.
Resolution No. 691, awarding the contract for said work to t:.:.
Peninsula Paving Company, ov as read. and on .motion of Kelly y and
Wood. was passed by unanir;ous vote on roll. call.
