that when the Council 'adjourn, it adjourn to meet on Monday,
February 27, 1928, at 7.30 P. M. in the City Hall, for the

received from Eliza F. 'Greer, J. L. Greer, Clara
Beatrice A. Coe, Thomas 01 Brine, John. A. Shaw, Robert C.Shaw
and Florence C. Shaw, all property owners on Encins Avenue.
These protestan vs were also -present ; and addressed the Council.

This was also the time for a hearing on Resolution of
Intention N0 618 for the construction of storm sewers on portions
of zr,ebster. Street ;ana Kellogg 'venue. No protests 'on this :natter
were received. Resolution No. 625, ordering the .work, was read,
and on motion of Woodand Kelly, was adopted by unanimous vote on
roll call. Th.is resolution provides for bids to be received

A report was :received 'from the Board of Works
concerning the widening of Ashbv Avenue to 60 feet between_
Chinning and Hamilton' Avenues, recommending that an the westWide

Tract, addressed the Council on -this matter, asking the Council
to delay action on .this matter; until he rand other property owners
have an. Opportunity to `conf„r With. the City Engineer on the
widening of Ashby Avenue, and also the matter of opening a. new
road through the Pitman Tract. These. matters were referred to
the Board of Works and'Planning Commission for further considera-
tion.
Concerning Radio lntex+fererce
A memoranda ss-:receiVed concerning radio inter-
ference and suggesting teat, the Council make a protest to the
Federal Radio Commission against the , erection and operation ,of
a new station at the marsh plant. On motionof Cottrell and.
:ioce, this communication was, referred to Committee No 2.
Report of Cormit tee No 5
A report was received from Committee No. 5 recommend-
ing that the city take out fire insurance polices on city
property to the amount of X89,900.00, in acco-rdsnce with a
schedule submitted, for a three-year tern., for buildings,
furniture and fixtures, and a one-year tern for fire engines,at
preni un not to exceed / 1,276.0O.'
The committee :also recom.:ended that Committee No. 4
consider the advisability of creating a Fire insurance Fund when
prepar ing the ,next budget.
On motion of Th oata and Cottrell, these matters ' were
referred to Committee No 4,
Report on Hearing on Subway
The ,City Attorney presented a report or, the heaving
held February 14, 1928, before Commissioner Rowell of the State

The City Attorney presented two claims from Pay E.
Clark and C L. Atkinson for $15.00 each in payment for work in
counting the traffic at the Embarcadero crossing. These bills
were , referred to C,ommittee No. 5, which later recommended that
the bills be paid. 0n motion of Thoits and Bonn, these claims
-were allowed by :unanimous vote, the necessary amount to be taken
from the contingent ,fund.

assisted him, for the splendid manner in which the new Council
room has been arranged.
