On motion of Cottrell and Thoits, the minutes of: the

A report was received. from Committee No. 4 recommending.
that an amount not- to 'exceed . 225.00 be appropriated from the
unapproo riated oalance in the general fund, for the purpose of
sending the P'.r,e rasing Agent, Auditor and Office ;s anap;er to Los
Angeles to attend: t he School of Citizenship and Public Administra-
tion, at the University of Southern California, for one week. On
motion of ,good and Thoits, this recommendation ndation was approved and
the amount allowed, by unanimous vote on roil call.

A report was received from Committee No. 4 recommending
that the sum o<f` 6.87 be appropriated from the hospital build;nf.;

M resolution -passed by the Board of Public V;orks relating
to the app?icAtion :o.f the .:Pacific Gas and Electric Company befor e
the Railroad ComMission for e.n: increase in gas rates, and
ci.recting,the City Engineer and City Attorney to ask for a
reduction in the present wholesale rates for the sale of gas
the City of Palo Alto, was presented.
