Hearing on Change of Zone This was the time set. for a' he firing upon the recorrnendation of the ,Planning Coizies on to change the zone of property at the north ao`raer, "of' Marion Avenue and Cowper Street from first residentialto commercial.' A number of written protests against this proposed charge of zone were received. There was also presented a re t:tion with a number of . signatures: in favor of this rezoning. A number : of property owners interested in this matter.. addressed the Counci,i:includin g Mrs. Beaudoin, owner of the lot proposed to be rezoned, who stated: that It . was the desire of Mr. Beaudoin and herself to replace.. the old; wooden building already used as. a store by a new concrete building, a Permit for which had been refused. The natter : was then discussed by the Council, and. the City Attorney explained that the :legality of rezoning one lot as recommended in this case by the Planning Commission was doubtful.
