Hearings on Rezoning It now ' being eight o'clock p.m., the Mayor announced that the'hearings advertised for this hour would now be held. Rezanizy4 Greer :Property The first hearing to be held was that upon the recommendation of the City Planning Commission to rezone a port of the Greer ,property at the northerly corner of El Camino Neal and Embarcadero Road, being 135.1 feet along El Camino Real 138.8 feet along Embarcadero Road, from first residential to comMercial zone. Mr. Paul Merner was present and submitted a letter protesting against this proposed change of zone at the present time. No other protests were received and the hearing was closed. The: ordinance changing the zone as above recommended was given first reading. This matter was discussed by the .ouncil, and on motion of Thoits and Judson, the Planning Commission was requeste to recolsidder the matter of rezoning certain lots on Encina Avenue owned by Ir. Merner, referred to in the third paragraph of Mr. Merner's letter. After further discussion, on motion of Cathcart and Bertsche, the Planning Commission was asked to take under consideration the matter of rezoning the whole of Block L. proposed northerly corner also given first ordinance changing the setback lines at of El Camino Real And Embarcadero 9.o d reading. Hearing on hezoninK Beaudoin Property Tbe*s was also the time set for a hearing upon the recommendation of the City Planning Commission to rezone a portion of Block 1, Seale SubdivisiCn No. 6, at the north corner of Cowper Street and. Marion Avenue for a distance of 75 feet on Cowper. Street ,and 125 feet on Marion Avenue from first residential to commercial zone.
