The minutes of the meeting of January 11, 1932, were As s e s srtent s This was the time set for a hearing on the assessments for the work done under Resolution of Intention No. 987 for the improvement of certain streets. A report was received from Committee No. 1 recommend that' the assessmentdiagrambe adopted.` A protest was received from Leonard R. Avllia, attorney for N. 3..Suru3 and Christine E. Sund," protesting against the paving done in . front of his property atthe corner of Cedar and Parkinson Avenues, claiming that the work was unsatisfactory not done a cording to specifications. A report was received lr Co mittee :o.:.1 onthismatter, recommending that the Council overrule .the protest of Mr. Standon: condition that Mr. Freeman, the contractor; deposit with the Superintendent of Streets the sum of : 200.00 as a guarantee that he will correct any fault is t construtiti in adjacent to Mr. Sund's property, to the satisfaction of the Su. erintendent of Streets. being no further protests, the hearing was On motion :of Cathcart and Wood, the report of Committee No- I was approved. Park for school purposes would destroy its value as a recreational .center, and as plans: have been formulated for the :development of finconada Park as a recreational center, . and large sums have already been spent°` by the ,city on this development, and as there are other: sites available for school sites, therefore the City.
