Petition for annexation A petition was received for the annexation of the district :known as ": mbarcadero annex" to the City of Palo alto, asking that the Council call a special election to be held in said territory on the question ox annexation. Consideration of this matter was deferred until the regular meeting. Leave to .Prof. R noids a communication was received from Prof. Leon B. re;;no_c3 asking for a leave of absence as a member of the Board of Public Works for four months, as he will be away from Palo Alto for that perion. It was directed that ,the; Board of Safety be advised that the Council approves the adoption of the necessary regulations to carry out the recommendation of Committee ,No. 2. O'Donnell, commenting on the reauction in the tax rate and offering suggestions ana: advice regarding reduction in ut.iity, rates.. time for the Crnai need for affiliat.
