reported -that he had been advised by S.E.R., . officials that

labor might be available for work on .tint road. The above mo;,is
was then withdrawn.

Councilman Ytlood, seconded by Kelly, mace a substitute
motion that the City set aside $1.00.00 for the purpose of
wrecking the building after a deep to the property is secured.
The matter was discussed, and on motion of Mitchell and .thoits,
Councilman ood's motiox , was laic. on the table for the time being
and the matter of the appropriation was referred to Com:ittee
No. : h letter from the Iayfield Service Club urging the
extension of California. Avenue, and the bulletins of tie Board of
Works on this subject were also referred to Committee No. 4.
In answer to a question from Mrs. C. E. Stro.Lquist es
to the proper time to enter a protest against the appropriation
of 41900.00 for wrecking the building, the layor pro tem
suggested that she take up this matter vvitn the Chairman of
Committee "i o. 4.
