concerning tax penalties and the emergency section of the
Political Code granting the privilege of redemption of property

referred to it from the East Palo hlto Chamber ,of Commerce
protesting against the erection of "cheap, inconspicuous
reflectory signs at entrances to Palo Alto from'ehe bayshore
Highway". TheBoard :ihformed the Council that it .discussed this
matter with. representatives of the Palo alto Chamber of commerce
who recommended < that Neon signs be installed, and further, that
the Board of Safety realized it has no jurisdiction .outsiae of
Palo Alto but believes that the erection of such suitable signs
would not only be aaditionai safety on the nigrmay but :a
