A special meeting of the City Council of the City of
Palo Alto was held at 7:30 p.m. on the ;ana day of Aovember,
l 661 pursuant to ;hefollowing call of the ;Mayor:

Section 1. That the offer of the United States of
me-ric to the Z.ity of Palo Alto to aid by way or grant
-in-financing the construction of - Street Paving, i.riUge
and Storm Sewers, a copy of v iic h offer .reads as rollozs:

hereby offers to aid in:financing inancing the
construction of street'improvements therein:
called the 'Project') by .making' a grant to

completion, as determined by the Federal

Section c. That said. City agrees to abide by ail the
terms and conditions relating to such grant, a copy of
which terms and conditions were annexed to the Governs e .t'

Section 6. That the iayor be and he is hereby
authorised and directed forthwith to send to the Federa:.
:Emergency -Administration of Public Works three certified
cQp .e:s of this Resolution and three certified copies

adoption or this resolution, and such further documents
or proofs in connection with the acceptance of said offer

Section 4. It is hereby covenanted that work on
theproject described in the Offer will be commenced
as early as possible but in no event' later than Janu�.ry -,
1937; that the work wili be planned so that it will reach
a substantial peak before :,priJ. 11, 19:57; anu tna.t the
project will be completed by January 11, 198. .
The above resolution Ja.:; seconded by Councilman
Richards, and was adopted by the .following vote:
