The: Council of the City of Palo Alto met in special session on this date at 7:30 p.m., pursuant, eo the fo .1olaing nAs mayor of the City of Palo Alto, I hereby call a special meeting of the Council of the City of Palo Alto, to convene at the council chamber in the city hall. in the City of Palo Alto, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 20, 1936, for the purpose of accepting the offer of the Federal Emergency dministration of Public d'vorks of a grant of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Aine Dollars t 16,579.00) to be applied upon the street improvement project known as 'Docket California 1253 (R) City of. Councilman Tho nas pointed out that this is a loan no bank: will make` and desired to rave it recorded that the Council, while deciding definitely that it :z.oes not wish to accept a lower rate of interest, does not commit itself at this time to renewing : the deed of trust at a .1 or to accepting the present rate of interest if it should be offered.
