The Council gave farther consideration to , tce request
of Mrs. dice' B. Pancera, presentee to the• Council at its last
meeting, for a temporary permit' for the use of her land on
Embarcadero Road near the Bayshore ignv ay for industria.,
purposes. A report had been received from the oar of :corks
at the last -meeting advising that the Board does not disapprove
of- the plan of leasing this land for the purpose requested, if
legal means of doing so can be found.
The City Attorney and City Engineer reported that
property owners in the neighborhood had been interviewed;
that, the two closest property owners object to the use of the
property for the industrial purpose requested and that two
other property owners nearby state that they do not care wnet:.e
or not such use is permitted. It was the opinion of the City
Attorney that- a change in the zoning oral iance a•,o is be
necessary in order to permit this type of industrial use in
the Agricul.tural.Zone, and that it was a :matter of policy for
the Council to decide. •
After discussion, it was moved by Trioi ts, Seconded
by Wood.,; and carried that the City Clerk be instructed to
reply to- ;ors. kancera's letter stating that a temporary permit
can Prot be grantee for tree use of lane which is not in
accordance with the ordinance.
