The 'Board of Works, at its meeting. on, October 2,' 1939, approved and ` reognmended• to the •Council,' the execution of an agreement, dated October 2, ; 1939, with the Southern Pacific Railroad:- .Go p .ny, the Southern Pacific Company, the: State of 'California and the City of Palo Alto, for the construction' and •maintenance' of the underpass The Beard also: approved and recommended the execution of a sublease, dated October '20' 1939, between the City and the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, providing for. the sub- leasing. of two certain panels of land under lease by the City from the University, these. parcel . to be :.subleased by the.
