The Council of the City of Palo Alto met in special
session on this date at 7:30 p.m. pursuant to the following call:
"TO MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL:
"Under authority of Division 1, Section 2. 101b of the
Palo' Alto Municipal Code, Mayor Crestp has called a special
meeting of the City Council for 7:30 p.171., Monday, December
16, 1963.
"The business to be transacted at this meeting shall be
'Exercise of Option to purchase Parcel 5, Foothills Park.
property, from Russel V. Lee and Dorothy Womack Lee'. No
other business shall be considered at this special meeting of
the : Council.
'This special meeting has been called because the above:
matter was to have been on the agenda for the December 23,
1963 Council meeting. However, it has been decided to adjourn
the regular Council meeting scheduled for December 23, 1963.
because of the holiday season, until December 30, 1963.
"Inasmuch as the Council will be meeting as a Committee
of the Whole on Monday, December 16, 1963 for the purpose
of re-`iewing the El Camino land proposals, it will be opportune
to meet for a: few Moments as the City Council to act upon our
option to acquire Parcel`5 in the Foothills Park. This option
expires December' 31,1963."
The above notice, dated: December 13, 1963, was delivered by hand.
on said date to all members of the Council.

Exercise of Option (Foothills Park)
The City'Manager advised that the option to purchase
Parcel 5 of the Foothills' Park property from Russel V. Lee and
Dorothy komack` Lee would expire on December 31, 1963; that the
purchase pric under the option is the surn of $144,500.00, which:..
sum had been budgeted' and approved by the Council previously. He
stated that, with the purchase of this parcel, the City will have
acquired the entire park property with the exception of the parcel
