The Assistant City Manager ex Ll.ined that the Ci

has an agreement with Palo Alto Unified School District in operating,
school swirnrning pools through the summer season.; that construction
of new pools at Cubberley and•Jordan High. Schools is completed and
the School District and representatives from the Recreation
Department have prepared ..n agreement which provides that these.be
operated by'the City on a trial basis. He .noted that the schools would
provide the 'facilities ar.d needed equipment, and that the difference
between the actual cost of operation and revenue. receive -d would be
paid by the School. District: to the City at the teed of the swimming
season..
On motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the City
Manager was authorized and directed to execute an agreement, as
outlined, with the School District„

property and showed pictures of the shopping center his firm
proposed -to build.
Consideration of zoning, left turn access, and probable traffic
problems on San Antonio Road,were discussed by the Council.
A motion was made by Debs that the City of Palo Alto retain
control "of its section of the overpass and the property presently
within the city limits, that a riaintenancee agreement be negotiated.

by Byxbee.
Further discussion followed and Mr. Kelley suggested that the
matter be continued..to provide an opportunity for the City Traffic
Engineer to work with his firm's engineer on problems of left turn.

officials of:'The. White House that the cernpany was no longer - interested
in subleasing the El Camino Park property; that since receiving this
infornaation he has told interested parties that if the have proposals
to snake for this property, he would bring them to the Council for
consideration.
