.The Council of: the City of Palo Alto met in special
session on this date at 7:3.0 p. m. pursuant to the following call:
"Notice Calling: Special Meeting of the City Council of
the City of Palo Alto to be Held on Monday, June 29,
1964 at 7:30 P.M.
"As .�Mayor of the City of Palo Alto, 1 hereby call a
special meeting: of the City Council of the City of Palo
Alto to be held at the hour of 7:30 p.m., on Monday,
June 29, 1964 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto, California for the purpose
of consideringand acting on the 1964-65 Palo Alto -
Stanford Hospital Budget request.
"The City Clerk is directed to send a notice of this
meeting to each member of the City Council and to
enter this order on the minutes of said special meet-
ing.

The &bove notice was delivered by hand on June 25, 1964 to all.
members;of. the Council.
Present: Arnold, Be;a.hrs, Byxbee, Cooley, Cresap.
Dias,, Flint, Rodgers, Rohrs, Rus,
Woodward, Zweng.
Cornstc.ck, Debi, Porter.
1964-65 Hospital Budget
M'ayor•Cresap announced that the Hospital Board of
Directors had met and, in accordance with the Council's request,
had caused tobe-delivered to .members of the Council a document
•
concerning a room rate differential for Palo Alto residents, also
containingbudgetary consequences in providing ,such a differential'
and other information and recommendations. He suggested the
proper motion would be to approve the budget and then take up and
vote on specific item'; of: the budget with, which the Council dis-
approves.
Councilman.Zweng moved to adopt the fiscal portion of
the 1964-65 Palo Alto -Stanford Hospital Center budget as sub-
mitted, specifically excluding adoption of proposed policy decisions
and other data contained in the budget. The motion was seconded
by Arnold.
