Resolution of the Council of the City of Palo Alto Amending and
Restating the Administrative Penalty Schedule and Civil Penalty
Schedules for Certain Violations of the Palo Alto Municipal Code
and the California Vehicle Code Established by Resolution No. 9879
The Council of the City of Palo Alto RESOLVES as follows:
SECTION 1. Administrative Penalties. The administrative penalty schedule for violations
of the Palo Alto Municipal Code established by Resolution No. 9879 is hereby amended and
restated to read as follows:

violations of Sections 4(b)(1), (2),

day, for each and every day that a
grocery store is not in operation

Price Index for All Urban
Consumers.) In calculating the
penalties for such violations, the
City will allow for a grace period for
any daily violations that do not
exceed six (6) cumulative months in
any five (5) year period. However,
this grace period was previously
applied to violations from 1/10/18
through 7/10/18, so there is no
entitlement to any further grace
period prior to 1/10/23.
