OHDERING CHANGE AND MODIFICATION OF PROCEEDINGS
CALIFORNIA AVENUE DISTRICT
ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENTS

RESOLV"f<'..D, by the Council of the City of Pa.lo Al to, Oalifor··
nia, that
WHEREAS. pursuant to Resolution No. 1914 of this Council
ordering same, notice has been duly given of the intention of this
co~.mcil to change and modify the proceedings under Re::;olutlon o't
Intention No. 1721 of this Council ln the time and form ,rovided
by l~w, and this is the time and place set for hearing thereof;
and
WHEREAS, persons interested appeared or filed
written protesta against said proceedings or a part thereof, and
all persons interested desiring to be heard were ziven an oppor
tunity to be heard and all matters and things pertaining to said
changes and modifications were fully heard and considered by this
Council and overruled.
NOW, THERE~ORE, I'l' IS ORDERl!:D, that the f'ollowinr, change:>
and rnodifjcations 1n the proceedings under Resolution of Intention
No. 1721 be made and had, as more particularly describe~ as
follows:
l. (a) The improving of unnamed alleys proposed to be
acquired within the blocks bounded by Co.mbrldge Avenue, California
Avenue, Park Bot1levard and El Camino, and Ca11forn1~ Avenue,
Sherman Avenue, .Plrst Street and El Camino Real, all as more
particularly described in maps and diagrams on file in these
proceedings, by grading, removal of existing trees and structNres,
constructing storm water catch basins and druin pipe, and con
structing crushed reek base pavement with asphaltic concrete
wearing surface between property lines.
1 (b) The improving of ~nnamed pedestrian lanes proposed
to be .:tcquired w_;_ thin the block~; bounded by Cambrid;;e Avcn~~e,
C~liforn:a Avenu~, Second Street and El Camino Real, and
Ca liforn:La Aven ... ..e, Sherman Avenue, l<'lrst Street and El Camino
Real, all as more particularly described ln map3 and diagrams on
r11e in these proceedings, by grading, removal of existing
~tructures, and constructing crushed rock base pavement with
asphal tic concrete we:.::.r:1.ng surface between property l~nes.
2. Chance and modify the estimate of cost for said
acquisition and lmproveme~to to not to exceed $158,000.00;
3. Change and modify the aasessment by changing the
estimated cost of the work, the incidental expen8es and the tot~l
amo~nt to be assessed, as above provided~ and by changing the
1ndlvldt1al asseasmentc therein to conform to benefits;
4. Thr~t reference be, and 1-:; ln hereby, made to amended.

the office of the City Clerk of said City, to which reference ~s

Engineer upon the face of the plans, estimate or cost, and
a~Gessrnent on file wlth the City Clerk or by f1lins amended
copies thereof or amendments thereto.
