" }• l !, 1 ' .t R E S 0 L U T I C N ----------N 0 • 1918 WimREAS, a written petition for the annexation of that certain.territory contiguous to the limits of the City of Palo Al to·' hereinafter described, also h'Tlown a:J portion of Lot 6,, Greer Partition, ha.s been presented to the City Council by the owners of said tract; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Clerk of t~e City of Palo Alto that there are leas than twelve (12) registered voters residing in sa1d tract as of the date of the f111ng of the Cbove mentioned pet:!. t1on, to-w1 t: on the 3rd day or October, 1949; NOW' 'rHEHEFORE, the Council Of the City of Palo Al to DO RESOLVE as follows: That Monday, the 12th day of December, 1949, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber of the C'l.t;)• Hall, ln the City of Palo Alto, be and 1t is hereby deo1gnated as th1~ t1ma and place when any person owning property wi th:tn such terr1tory so propoeed to be annexed may appear before the City Council and show cause why said territory should not be annexed to the City of Palo Alto, and who may also f1le written protests against said annexation; said property is described a3 fol J.c)WS: All that certain real p~oper~y situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of' Ca11fornla, described as follows: PORTION 01<" LOT 6, as shown upon that certain Map entitled "Map or the Partition & Subdivis::..on or a Part of the Lands of the Estate or Maria Louisa Sota De Greer in the Rancho Rinconada del Arroyo de San Francisquito" which Map was filed for record in the Office or the Recorder or the County of Santa Clara, State of Cal1forn1a, on March 21! 1889 in Book D of Maps, at page 79, and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the most Northerly common corner of Lots 5 and 6 as shown on the Map here1nabove referred to; said Northerly common corner being the most Northeaaterly corner or Tract No. 629, Crescent Parx Addition"; running thence along the common dividing line between said Lots 5 and 6 South 21°15 1 West 676.59 feet to the point of intersection of the most Northerly line of Tract No. 487, 0 Green Gables Addition" with the me.st Easterly line o: said Tract No. 629, "Crescent rark Addi t1on 11 ,; ri.mnlng thence along sa1d Northerly line of Tract No. 487 "Green Gables Addition" North 70°07 1 East 172.60 feet; runnin~ thence parallel and 130 feet at right angles from said common di v1ding line betweer1 said Lots 5 and 6 North 21° 15' East 292.38 feet; thence North 3°32 1 30 11 West 70.03 feet; thence North 3°03 1 04 11 East 216.64 feet to a point in the northerly line or said Lot 6 1n the center line of the San Francisquito Creek; thence along said Northerly line of Lot 6 North 66°30 1 West 33 feet to the point of beginning; which property is located entirely within the County of Santa Clara. BE IT .FU.R'l'lfER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she 1a hereby directed to publieh a copy of this resolution once a week for two successive weeks prior to the 12th day or December, 1949, in the Daily Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City or Palo Alto. The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regu­ larly introduced and passed by the Council or the City of Palo Alto at a regular meeting held on Monday, the 14th day of November, 1949, by the .following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Bentrott, Blo:ta, Bolander, Bowden, Cashel, Cathcart, Freedman,, Gaspar, tinder, Merner., Mitchell, Montrou11, Morten, Wickett.
