RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City ot Palo
Alto, Santa Clara County, Cal1torn1a, that
•"HEREAS, said City CoWlc11 did on the 12th day or
September, 1949, order the City Engineer to make and :f1le wlth
said Council an amended assessment of all parcels of property
the former a8aesaments upon which under Re~olut1on or !ntent1on
Mo. 1516 or oaid Council are designed upon the original ase~!Hus
ment and diagram ar.d confirmed by said Counc!l on January 13, 1947,
and recorded in the office or the Superintendent ot Streets of
said C1ty, ae diagram and assessment num~ers 41~, 420, 421, 422,
718, 719, 728, 729, 730 and 731;
WHEREAS, Raid City Engineer d1d on the 13th day or
September~ 1949, pursuant to said order, file with the Clerk of
said City a diagram and a.mended assessment;
WHEREAS, said Council fixed Mon~ay, the 10th day or
October, 1949, as the time for hearing said amended assessment
and caused notice of said hearing to be publiahed twice 1n the
Pa.lo A.lto Times, aa appears from the affidavit of publication
on tile in the office or the Clerk or said City; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said hearing,
no protests or o°t'ject.1.ons were made or presented to the proposed
amended assessment, and all matters and things pertaining to said
am~nded asse~ement were fully heard and considered by said City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that aa1d amended &ssess
ment filed with the Clerk or said City pursuant to Resolution
order:1.ng same, be, and the same is hereby ratified, approved and
confirmed.
IT IS FURT"rlER ORDERED, that the Clerk of said City
shall deliver said amended assessment to the City Engineer, to
gether with cert1f1ed copy of this Resolution thereto attach~d,
and said City Engineer shall thereupon record auch amended
aeeesament with a cert1f1cate at the end thereof by the Clerk of
said City that 1t is the amended assessment approved by the
City Council.
The City Engineer shall note opposite the several aaa~ss
menta in said or!g!nal diagram and asseesment numbers 419, 420,
421, 422, 718, 719, 728, 729, 730 and 731, that it has been
displaced by said amended assessment, g1v1ng 1ts date, and ahall
credit upon such amended asae8ament all payments theretofore
made upon the original assessment. iihen said amended assessment
has been recorded, the City Engineer shall cauae the original
assessments involved canceled.
