CONFIRMING AMENDED ASSESSMEHT

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Cjty or Palo
Alto, Santa Clara County, California, that
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 12th day or
September, 1949, order the City Engineer to make and file with
said Council an a.mended aesecsment or all parcels or property
the former assesa:nente upon which under Resolution ot Intention
No. 1516 of said Council are designated upon the original assess
ment and diagraiT. and confirmed by said Council on January lJ, 1947,
and recorded in the office of the Superintendent of Streets or
said City, &3 diagram and assessment numbern 747, 748 and 749;
WHEREAS, said. City Engineer did on the 13th day of
September, 1949, pl.U'suant to said order, tile with the Clerk or
said :1ty a diagram and amended assessment;
w'HEREAS, aa1d Council fixed Monday, the 10th day or
October, 1949, as the time tor he&r1ng aa1d amended assessment
and caused notice of said hearing to be published tw:t.ce 1n the
Palo Alto Times, as appears from the affidavit of publ1c.ation
on file 1n the ofr1ce or the Clerk of said City; and
WliEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said heAring,
nc· protests or objections were made or presented to the proposed.
a.mended assessment, and all matters and things pertaining to
said &mended assessment were fully heard and considered by ea1d
City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that sa1d amer1ded
asse~3ment tiled with the Clerk or said City pursuant to
Resolution ordering same, be, and the same is hereby, ratified,
approved and confirmed.
IT IS FURnIER ORDERED, that the Clerk of aaid City
shall deliver said amended assessment to the City Eng1rieer,
together w:th certified copy of this Resolution thereto attached,
and said City Rng1neer shall thereupon record such a.mended
assessment with a certificate at the end thereof by the Clerk
of said City that it 1s the amended assessment aprpoved by the
City Council.
The City Engineer shall note opposite the several
assessments in said original diagram and aaseaament numbers
747,, 748 .and '749, that 1 t haa been displaced by said amender:d
aeaessment, giving its date, and shall credit upon such amended
aetsesBmitnt all payments theretofore made upon the original
assesmment. When said amended assessment has been recorded,
the City Engineer shall cause the original asaeasments involved
