WHEREAS, aaid Council, in response to notice duly
g1von purauant to Resolution of Intention Ro. 1833 adopted
March 28, 1949, and it• resolution calling tor bide on sale ot
bonde pureuant thereto, adopted on August 8, 1949;

been received and publicly opened~ exam1ned and declared by this
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That all written bide received rcr the purchase ot
said bonds, excepting the bid herein stated, be, and they are
hereb7, rejected, and that said bonds be, and they are hereby,
ordered aold to Hannaford & Talbot and Blair & Co., Inc., a1 the
highest responsible bidder therefor, with interest to the date
or delivery or aa1d bonds, aa14 sale to bo subject to all or the
terma and cond1t1ona set forth in aa1d resolution calling tor
sealed proposals and in eaid accepted bid.
2. That the City Clerk of said City be, and she 1s
hereby, directed to have said bond• printed forthwith, and that
the 11Ute be immediately signad and sealed and delivered to aa1d
bidder on receipt or the a.o,.m.t therefor aa above stated, with
interent, but not otherw1me, and upon the performance of the eon
d1t1on3 contained 1n eaid written otter.
3. That the interest rate or ea!d bonds be, and the
same 1a hereby, fixed at the rate stated 1n said b1d.

resolution waa duly and regularly adopted at a meeting or the
City Council of the City or Palo Alto, California, held on the 12th
day or September, 1949, by the following vote:
