RESOLVED, by the City Council ot the C1ty ot Palo Alto,
Ca11torn1a, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution ot Intention No. 1593,
this Council on June 23,, 1948 adopted Resolution No. 1695 ordering
acqu1a1t1ona and improvements and confirming aaaeaementa;
WHEREAS, City-owned property, included within the aasesa
ment d1str1ct, more particularly reterr~d to 1n Exhibit "A" attached
and incorporated by reference h•rein, contributed the suma stat~d
therein toward the cost or said prvJect, which sums have been paid
into the project tund;
WHEREAS, to etrectuate the street widening provided tor
in the project, it was necessary to acquire eaeementa 1n certain
lands tor street purposes and to provide compensation to all owners
or property taken, and the said City 1a entitled to compensation
equitable with all other owners; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City receive tor
the parcels described in said Exh1b1t-~A" the coapens~tion award
provided therein as a Just and equitable aum for the value or the
ea~ements taken and 1mprovemente necessarily altered as a conse
quence thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AM'D ORDERED, a.a follows:
l. That Monday, the llth day of July, 1949, at the hour
ot 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the Council Chambers ot the City Council
in the City Hall or said City are hereby t1xed as the t1me and
place when and where any and all persona interested may appear
and show cause, if any they have why the City Council should not
order the tranater of said $10,145.00 :trom aa1d as5esament project
tunda to City tunda.
2. That a copy ot this Resolution be published twice in
the Palo Alto Times, the t1rst publication being at lea3t ten
daye before the date aet ror aald hearing.
