That the public interest and necessity dewmd the acqu1s1ticn, conetruct1on and completion by the City of ralo Al~o of the following municipal 1rnprovem~nts, and each or them, to-w1 t: (1) Water D1!tr1but1on Ststem: Add1t1one and improve­ ments to the water d!etrlbu Ion system or the City or Palo Alto, including extenej.on or water distribution fac111t1es, pipe~, pipe lines, pumping equipment, water cond1t1on1ng, and other works, property or structures necessary or convenient ror improving the rnun1c1pal water system of the C1ty or Palo Alto. (2) O~s Dietr1but1on Ststem: Additions and improve­ ments to the gae(Uetr115u ion 8ystem or the C! ty of Palo Alto, including p1pee} conduits and other rae111tie~, equipment and appl1anccs, works, p~operty or structures necessary or convenient for the gas distribution 8ystem or the C1ty of ~alo Alto. (3) Electric D1str1button Stst~m: Additions and im­ provements to the ftieetric dis rlbution system ot the City <Jf Pa.lo Alto, including conduits, cables, tranFJ­ formera, and other fac!.11ties, equipment and appliances, wcrk~, prope~ty or structures necensary or convenient for the electric distribution system ct the City of Palo Alto. Section 2. That the acquiait1on, construction and com­ pletion or said mu.."11c1pal j.mprovernents, and each of th\~m, are neeeseary and convenient to carry C\Ut the objecto, purpoee:s and powers o.f said cl ty. 151 Sectlon 3. That the cost of the acquls1t1on, con3truct1on and completion of said rnun1cipal improv~ments, and eaoh or them,, 1e ar1d will be too great to 'be paid out of' the ordinary amrnal in­ come and revenue of said city. The above and foregoing reso1ut1on was duly 1ntr1.:>duced· and passed by the Council of the City of Palo Alto at an a~.1Journed meeting held on Monday, the 28th day or March, 1949, by th·~ follow­ ing vote: AYES: Bentrott, Blois, Bolander, Cashel, Freedman, Gas:par, H.111, Merner, Mitchell, Montrou11, Morten, Tho1ta, W!clcP.tt.
