RESOLUTION NO. 4191
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
PROTESTS IN RELATION TO PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS
AND IMPROVEMENTS, AND DIRECTING NOTICE
STANFORD INDUSTRIAL PARK
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES CONVERSION
PROJECT NO . 68-83
RESOLVED, by the C ouncil of the City of Palo Alt o, Califo rnia,
that
WHEREAS, pu rsuant to Res olution No. 4183 of Prelimi nary Dete r-
minatio n a nd of Intention, adopted by the Co uncil of said City on
Dece mber 2, 1968, pur su ant to the P al o Alto Municip al Code, the City
Engineer has filed with the City Clerk the writt en r eport called for
under s aid Code and by said Resoluti on, which report has be en p re-
sented by said Clerk to this Co uncil fo r conside ratio n, and this
Coun cil has considered an d pre liminarily appro ved a nd c onfi rmed said
report a nd or der ed that the sa me sta nd as the repo rt for the purpose
of all su bsequent proceedings had pursuant to said R esoluti on of
Preliminary Determination an d of Inten tion;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERE D, that Monday, the 133KK day of
January, 1969, at the ho ur of 7:30 o'clo ck P. M., Council Chambe rs,
City Hall, Palo Alto, Califo rnia, be, and the same ar e hereby
appo inted and fixed as the time and place whe n and where said
Co uncil will consider and finally determine whether the public
interest, co nvenience a nd ne cessity require said a cquisitio ns and
improv ements, and w hen and where
upon the Engineer's repo rt under
Determination a nd of Inten tio n.

the City Clerk be, a nd she is
hereby, directed to give notice of said hearing twice in the
Palo Alto Time s, a ne wspaper publishe d an d c ircula ted in said City,
a nd by conspicuous ly po sting a notice ther eof alon g all the open
stre ets w ithin the a ssessmen t district at not mo re than three hundred
fee t apar t and not less than three in all; said postin g an d first
pu blication to be ha d an d complete d at least ten da ys befo re the date

h erein set for heari ng of protests.
1T I8 FURTHER ORDERED, that said notices sh all be headed "N otice
of improvement" in letters of not less than one-half inch in height
and shall, in legible cha ract ers, state the fact and date of the
pa ssage of said Resoluti on of Prelimi nary Dete rmin ation and of Inten-
tion, and of the fili ng of s aid repo rt, and of the date, hour and
place set for the hearing of said pr ot ests, and b riefly des cribe the
acquisitio ns a nd improvements pr oposed to be made, and refer to s aid
Resolution of Preliminary Determinati on and of Intention and rep ort
for further particulars.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the City Clerk sh all m ail, or cause
to be mailed, notice of the adopti on of said Resol utio n a nd the filing
of said report, postage prepaid, at le ast ten days before the d at e
set for hearing of sa id protests, to all pers ons owning real property
to be assesse d w ho se names and a ddr esses appe ar on the last equ alized
assessment ro il for City taxes prior thereto or as known to the Cle rk,
which no tice shall co nta in a statemen t of the time, place and purp ose
of the hea ring on said Reso lutio n of Prelimina ry Dete rmin ation and
of Intentio n a nd report, a nd -a sta tement of the to tal esti mated c ost
of the pro pos ed acquisitio ns and improv ements, the a mount as sh own
by sa id r eport to be assessed against the pa rticular par cel covered
by the notice, together with a statement that any pe rson interest ed
ma y file a protest in writing as pro vide d in s aid Code.
