A RESOLUTION DESCRIBING PROPOSED BOUNDARIES
OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, DIRECTING FILING OF
MAP AND DIRECTING RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF
ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM
STANFORD INDUSTRIAL PARK
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES CONVERSION

RESOLVED, by the Co uncil of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that
WHEREAS, this Co uncil proposes to u nde rtake p roceedings for the
formation of an assessment dist rict pu rsu ant to Resolution No. 4183
of Preliminary De termination and of I ntention adopted by said Council
on Dece mber 2, 1968;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. Tha t the proposed bo undaries of said assessment district
to be assessed in sa id proceedings are he reby desc rib ed as shown on
a map of sa id a ssessment distr ict -o n file in the office of the City
Cle rk, w hich in dicate s by a bo undar y line the extent of th e t er ritory
in clu ded in the proposed assessment distr ict and which shall gover n
for all deta ils as to the exten t of such dis trict, refe rence to s uch
ma p being here by made for particulars. Sa id map contains the name
of the City and a distinctive designation in words or by nu mber of
the district shown thereon.
2. That on the o riginal and at least o ne copy of said ma p
the City Clerk shall endorse her certifica te evide ncing the date
and ado ption of this resolu tion. The Clerk sha ll file the origina l
of such map in her office and within fifteen days after adoption of
the reso lution fixing time a nd place of hear ing on the formatio n
or extent of said district, and in no eve nt later tha n fifteen da ys
prior to su ch hearing, sha ll file a c opy thereof with the Co unty
Recorder of the Coun ty of San ta Cla ra in which a ll of such pro posed
assessment district is lo cated.
3. Tha t the County Recorder sha ll endorse on the copy of said
ma p the time and date of filing an d shall fa sten the same se cur ely

in a book of maps of assessme nt districts Which he shall keep in
his office . The C ounty Recorder shall index s uch map by the name
of the entity conducting the proceedings and by th e distinctiv e
de signation of the district as sh own on said map.
4. After c onfir mati on of the assessm ent by this Council, the
Cler k sha ll cause to be filed in the office of the County,Recorder
a co py of the assessme nt diagram and shall execute and re cord a
notice of asse ssment in the office of the County Recorder of the
Co unty of Santa Clara, such notice to be in substanti ally the font
prov ided in Section 3114 of_the Str eets and Highw ays Code. Fr om
the date of such reco rding, all perso ns shall be d eemed to h ave
notice of the contents of such assessment, and each of such.aseeee-
ments shall ther eu pon be a lien upon the prope rty against which it
is ma de, and unless.so oner discha rged such liens shall so c ontinue
fo r the perio d of four (4) years from the date of said recordation,
or in the event bonds are issue d to represent said assessments, then
such liens shall continue until the ex piratio n of four (4) years
a fter the due da te of the last installmen t upon said bonds or of the
la st principal coupon attache d thereto.
5. That the appro pria te officer or o ffice rs ar e hereby
authorized to pay an y and all fees require d by law in conn ection
with the a bov e.
